equip® FISPrint Web-Service Application

  • FISPrint is a dynamic, forms-based solution for the imaging and printing of insurance documents. There are two primary components to FISPrint: a web-based application used to enter forms, define & configure report structures and upload PDF document components, and a console application that merges data with report structures to produce PDF documents for the imaging and printing process.
  •
  • When utilized within the scope of FIS's hosted application software platform, a third console application is used to process policy transactions and generate FISPrint data records. Although designed to utilize the policy data within FIS's hosted application software platform, FISPrint is capable of running as a stand-alone imaging and printing solution, provided that FISPrint data records can be generated externally.
  •
  • FISPrint is a PDF-based solution. Final insurance documents are imaged into the FISPrint database, readily accessible for viewing within web-based applications, including FIS's hosted application software. FISPrint manages the optimization of insurance documents in order to reduce the impact of database storage. FISPrint is implemented using Microsoft SQL Server database architecture.
  •
  • Documents generated by FISPrint can be derived from single forms or consist of numerous PDF report components that are dynamically stitched together. In either case, FISPrint retrieves PDF templates from its forms library, and then merges key data fields from FISPrint data records into the template.
  •
  • FISPrint is highly configurable. The FISPrint database allows for flexible sort orders so that each customer can determine their own custom sequence of documents to the printer. In addition, FISPrint is capable of directing output to any number of printers and printer trays. As a print engine, it eliminates the problems associated with discrete document printing by generating optimized PCL output for delivery to the printer without loss of duplex and paper tray designation.
  •
  • Data records for FISPrint are archived after each document is processed. An additional component of FISPrint is Windows-based application called FISReprint. FISReprint allows users to locate past documents within the FISPrint data archive using a wide variety of search criteria. With FISReprint, selected documents can be re-processed for imaging and/or printing. This feature of FISPrint is essential to overcoming problems that can occur after FISPrint has delivered its output, such as database, network, printer queue and/or printer device failure.
